alejandro figliolo

When he was very young, he started studying folklore and Spanish dances and, among other activities, he became passionately interested in Tango music and poetry, where he discovered “the sensuality and passion conveyed by a cultural expression linked to the senses of two entwined bodies in order to create a single language”.

During his early beginnings, he was part of Funky groups and Competition Aerobics.

He studied Tango at the Municipal Dance School of Morón, “José Neglia”, obtaining there a “Tango teacher” degree. Furthermore, he was part of the school’s company, and later on he continued his studies at the “Buenos Aires Tango University”, receiving the degree of “Tango Dance and History Professor”, while at the same time, he trained with teachers such as Miguel Angel Sotto, Raul Bravo, Jorge Firpo, Carlos Gavito, Gloria and Eduardo, Marcelo and Veronica Bernadaz, Carlos Rivarola, Gustavo Naviera, Leonardo Cuello and Los Dinzel.

Simultaneously, he supplemented his knowledge with other forms of dance, such as jazz-dance, dance-drama, contemporary, and hip-hop. He was a member of different companies, namely “La Compañía” from Marcela Sotelo, Alberto Agüero, Show Staff and Silvia Briem Stamm in “Tango Evolution”.
